What We Do

ASI’s proprietary recruiting, screening, and evaluation process includes a thorough and complete assessment and evaluation of each candidate’s background including education, experience, technical skills, abilities, and references. Pre-employment credit checks, Criminal Background checks and Drug Screening are available by request.

Since ASI was formed in 1983, the world has changed dramatically, triggering unprecedented changes in how business is conducted, where products are made, how products are purchased, and who will be in business next year. We agree with the premise of Thomas L Friedman’s best-selling book, “The World Is Flat” in which he states that globalization has flattened the world making it necessary for businesses to run faster just to stay in place.

The convergence of technology and globalization has literally changed both the language and face of employment. Here are just a few examples of the effect of those changes:

  • A 36% increase in the number of job applicants who are not eligible for rehire due to personality conflicts, disciplinary problems, theft, and embezzlement.
  •  7% of applicants have criminal records.
  • 25% misrepresent their education and credentials.
  • More than 30,000,000 people have secured employment by false resume data.

Turn over is costly. Although most organizations don’t track turnover costs, the cost of a single bad hire averages 50% of the annual salary. What causes turnover?

Employment interviewing, the centerpiece of most selection processes are validated at no more than 20% accuracy. 85% of all job performance issues are due to poor work habits, lack of technical skills.

Technical solutions alone are not the answer. Online job boards, once considered the silver bullet recruiting solution, have exploded candidate screening and data management burdens for employers.
